BallotBar exists because official systems protect election administration at scale, while an individual voter can still be left without a simple, durable record or a clear path when status information is missing.
BallotBar’s August 2026 market review identified it as the only voter tool that combines ballot photography guidance, encrypted on-device storage, official ballot tracking, and documented follow-through in one place.

THE OPENING EXAMPLE — NOT THE ENTIRE RECORD
Records can move. Status can disappear.
Fulton County is the lead example, not the whole case. BallotBar is built around a broader documented need: preserve a personal record before surrendering custody, follow official status, and document the path forward when it is absent or unclear.
012026 · FULTON COUNTY, GEORGIA
An unprecedented federal seizure moved election records outside ordinary local custody.
On January 28, a federal warrant authorized seizure of more than 600 boxes of Fulton County’s 2020 election records. A later federal order described the events as unprecedented and parts of the warrant affidavit as defective, troubling and problematic, while noting that a separate court had not ordered the records returned. On July 7, another federal judge quashed a related DOJ subpoena seeking personal information about thousands of election workers and volunteers.
Why it matters to BallotBarWhatever a voter’s politics, an extraordinary transfer of election materials shows why voters may want a private record created before their ballot leaves their possession—and why that record must remain outside any BallotBar database.
022024 · NATIONWIDE VISIBILITY GAP
A voter can do everything right and still face delayed, fragmented or incomplete status information.
After the 2024 election, North Carolina’s election board published instructions explaining that voter-history updates may take weeks or longer and that provisional-ballot status appears later. A national ballot-tracking study describes tracking as a tool for receipt, acceptance, rejection and cure—not a personal readout of anonymous selections—and statewide access remains uneven.
Why it matters to BallotBarBallotBar brings the official tracker, the responsible local office, evidence capture and an escalation timeline into one voter-controlled path. It does not treat a blank tracker as proof of wrongdoing; it gives the voter a disciplined way to resolve it.
THE BROADER RECORD
Not one theory. A recurring need.
These examples do not prove every election problem is the same. Together, they show why receipt, cure, evidence and escalation should not depend on a voter finding the right office under deadline pressure.
2024MAIL-BALLOT CURE
585,457 returned mail ballots entered a cure process.
The U.S. Election Assistance Commission reported that 317,191 were successfully cured and 270,753 were ultimately rejected among reporting states. Cure is not an edge case; time, notice and a clear response path can matter.
WHY THIS MATTERSBallotBar surfaces cure status, the responsible office, deadlines, screenshots, contact attempts and follow-up reminders.
2024ERIE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
A court ordered relief after requested ballots did not reach up to 17,000 voters.
Days before the general election, a Pennsylvania judge ordered expanded access and replacement-ballot measures. The record also identified at least 365 defective duplicate ballots bearing another voter’s barcode.
WHY THIS MATTERSA status tool is most useful when it is paired with a clear local-office route and an evidence-backed escalation process before deadlines expire.
2024U.S. ELECTION MAIL
Federal auditors documented operational risks before the general election.
The USPS Office of Inspector General found inconsistent procedures and policy gaps that could delay election mail. During observed primary-election operations, auditors found ballots at eight of 14 facilities that would not arrive in time to be counted. USPS later reported strong aggregate 2024 performance, but aggregate performance cannot resolve an individual voter’s missing status.
WHY THIS MATTERSBallotBar encourages early tracking and creates a local case path for the individual exception—not a generalized accusation against the mail system.
2018–19NORTH CAROLINA, 9TH DISTRICT
An unlawful absentee-ballot operation forced an entirely new election.
After a four-day evidentiary hearing, the North Carolina State Board of Elections found a coordinated, unlawful and substantially resourced absentee-ballot scheme and unanimously ordered a new election.
WHY THIS MATTERSBallot integrity is not a partisan hypothetical. A voter-controlled record and clear reporting routes are complementary safeguards, not substitutes for official investigation and audits.
That every blank tracker means a missing ballot, that any single incident proves a national pattern, or that BallotBar can reveal how an anonymous ballot was individually tabulated.
It requires
Current rules for each voting setting, regular source review and a safe alternative whenever ballot photography cannot be offered.
THE FOUNDATION BEHIND BALLOTBAR
A church behind a different kind of civic work.
BallotBar is a nonpartisan voter-education and civic public-service initiative of InVision Church Los Angeles, Inc.
That commitment matters.
This may not be the role people have come to expect from a church in American public life. InVision was built on a different conviction: faith should protect people, expand dignity and defend every person's right to have a voice — not tell them how to use it.
InVision does not tell voters what to believe, whom to support or how to vote. Its responsibility is to help voters participate freely, understand their rights, protect their own record and have somewhere to turn when something goes wrong.
BallotBar is what it looks like when a church uses its platform to protect participation instead of prescribe politics.
Every voter. Every party. Every belief. No partisan agenda.
FREE FOR VOTERS
Confidence should not be a premium feature.
BallotBar’s voter-facing service is intended to remain free. No paywall should stand between a voter and the official path for checking, documenting or escalating their ballot status.
Help sustain nonpartisan voter education, technology and support.
