Can I take a photo?
What comes next?

Choose a state. BallotBar will show the answer separately for Election Day, early voting, and a mail or absentee ballot outside a polling place.

YOUR OWN BALLOT

Photograph only your own ballot. Never photograph another voter or ballot, disrupt voting, or ignore an election official.

FIND YOUR PHOTO RULE

Where are you registered to vote?

OPTION 1

Enter ZIP

Use the ZIP for your U.S. voting address. No location permission is needed.

OPTION 2

Use current location

This finds where you are now—not necessarily where you are registered. You will confirm the result.

Prefer not to share location?Choose your U.S. voting state manually. County is optional for statewide photo rules.

ZIP lookup happens in this browser. It uses only the ZIP prefix to suggest a state; it does not identify a precinct or exact ballot. If you choose current location, your browser sends coordinates once to the U.S. Census Geocoder. BallotBar does not receive or store them.
